At Navesta, our employees are always encouraged to devote themselves towards the principle of community service. As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities for the year, Navesta recently organized a blood drive at the factory grounds in conjunction with the National Blood Transfusion Services for medical centers near Millewa.

Forty-three (43) employees out of our 130 employees were eligible to donate and participated in the blood drive. Each pint of blood which was donated has the potential to save three (3) lives.

Navesta launched our Ape Shramadana Campaign on June 5, 2019 parallel to World Environment Day as part of our corporate commitment to our community and Mother Nature. Shramadana means an “offering of one’s strengths and commitment on a voluntary basis to the welfare of lesser fortunate human beings”, or rather, corporate social responsibility.

Navesta’s staff cleaned the premises of Navesta’s Horana factory as well as the roads leading to Milwlewa Junction,

On November 29th one of Sri Lanka’s iconic animals, Galgamuwa’s Crossed Tusker elephant’s carcass was discovered after being missing for the last few months. The elephant is a 50-year-old blind tusker that roamed around Sri Lanka’s national reserves. Poachers had brutally murdered the elephant for its tusks.
Sri Lanka is indigenous to an abundant number of rare animals, from elephants to tropical birds to leopards; making it an ideal country for poachers. Poaching is a deadly crime against wildlife as it annihilates entire species all for the possession of their skin or body part.
